Vertical 1993 film photo of Cathedral Rock, Sedona, Arizona, USA. The large sandstone formation is the most prominent geological feature in Sedona, and is popular with photographers.
In this image, Oak Creek fills the foreground, leading the eye to Cathedral Rock and the gentle blue sky filled with white clouds. In the distance, one can see people having fun in the shallow, stone-filled waters of Oak Creek.
This vintage photograph is a personal favorite, a lovely landscape for a wall of your home or office. Also available in this Arizona Gallery in black-and-white. There you will find another view of Cathedral Rock and Oak Creek, in black-and-white and color, but from a different point of view. Companion images (these and others) from an era with fewer visitors would work well in a grouping of natural and scenic Arizona landscapes.
Shot in the summer of 1993 with a Minolta Freedom Escort and Kodak film. Scanned in 2014, this image has been cleaned and minimally enhanced to bring out the best in it.
