Description
Several black stingrays swimming on the floor of an aquarium, with a large dark coral to the right of the frame. On the largest stingray, the intricate brown pattern on his back can be seen. There also appear to be at least three projections of the dorsal spine.
Stingrays can be any one of numerous rays (as of the family Dasyatidae) with one or more large sharp barbed dorsal spines near the base of the whiplike tail, capable of inflicting severe wounds.
