Busy street corner identifying as being in the North Beach neighborhood, San Francisco, California, USA, with people on the street occupied with various tasks. Across from Vesuvio's, the yellow building with the mural, is a well-known bookstore, City Lights, in salmon pink. Murals such as this one at Vesuvio's abound in this colorful, eclectic city.

Italian Town in San Francisco by Connie Fox
This true aesthetic loves beautiful things, from architecture to the intricate details of flowers and plants. A native Californian who lived in Arizona before settling in Texas, I love nature, topography, and exploring small towns, looking for old buildings, unique objects, and rust. I enjoy making scenes look interesting and natural, as I saw them, and worthy of a place in your home, your office, your life. For 15 years I worked as a dental hygienist. Then I spent 25 years as an award-winning writer, graphic designer, and editorial consultant--skills I still use in this venue and in helping others with special projects. This unique background, requiring discernment and perfection, helps ensure the quality of my work. I hope you will...

Isn't this a great building! The yellow, I think, makes it even better. Thanks for appreciating it, Chris, and sending such kind and affirming words.

Mary, huge thanks for such a generous and detailed comment. I'm so happy you like my work. I remember the City Lights Bookstore as being across the street and to the right of this building. But the yellow building really caught my eye, as well as all the bustling about of ordinary folk going about their business. It made for a pretty cool street scene. I especially appreciate your kind words about my galleries. Thanks for taking the time to look. Hope others will do the same.

I know the City Lights book store well, but I don't remember this architecture you've captured. I must go back and see this place. In fact, you've captured San Francisco and the Bay so very well. Your galleries are such fun to see, especially San Francisco. v
