Beautiful bluebonnets (Lupinus Texensis), the state flower of Texas, bloom along a gravel road in the Prairies and Lakes section of Texas, USA, near Industry. Other wildflowers, including Indian paintbrush, evening primrose, and a yellow flower or two in this tranquil farm scene, flank the tree-lined gravel driveway, leading the eye to appreciate this splendid yet simple rural scene with a small building on the horizon line. Bluebonnets bloom from late March to early April and are very popular in springtime.
A blue sky with abundant cumulo-nimbus clouds fill the upper half of the frame, not vying for space but creating an interesting study of their own. With lovely green grasses showcasing what looks like a carpet of flowers, this is a classic Texas springtime landscape. Given an artistic touch with rough pastels and a canvas texture.
