Description
In the town square of Bellville, Texas, originally settled in 1822, you will find charming antique buildings and this bench made by the Austin County C.S.C.D. That’s adult probation for Austin County. The first three letters stand for Community Supervision and Corrections.
The Austin County Jail Museum is in Bellville, the county seat of Austin County. Although the bench is for the use of people who might need to stop and rest, there are no people in this image. As an unusual object, it has somewhat of the look of abstract and invites the viewer into a visual study. It might also serve as a conversation piece. And although it is a color photo, it almost looks like a black-and-white as it fills the frame with neutral tones of taupe and gray.
