Description
Green fronds of Boston fern, Nephrolepsis exaltata, also called the Sword fern, shown leaning to the right against a beautiful bokeh background. Digital effects have been used to give a more artistic look to this image, designed to having a calming effect while providing botanical interest in its softened luminous detail, pastel background, and angled strokes.
This species of fern is native to tropical regions throughout the world. It is common in humid forests and swamps, and can be grown in pots or hanging baskets, indoors in bright light or in shaded areas outdoors. This one is growing outdoors in a pot, in a partially shaded area in a subtropical area of the southern United States.
