Description
In this scanned and restored image from 1969, a woman stands at a wrought-iron gate of the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas. Half a century later, a good friend of this same woman (me) fought alongside other women, as well as men, to defend this treasured Texas landmark. When I reminded her that she defended the Alamo (within the past year), she corrected me, "Several times," she said.
Texas women: There's more to us than big hair and big hearts.
Scanned from a 1969 snapshot, restored, and cropped. Posted only for a contest. Not intended for sale.
