Description
NOTE: PROPERTY RELEASE ON FILE
Black-and-white sepia conversion of two metal storage bins, once used for grain or feed, rusting in a field under a big Texas sky. They've seen better days, but there's some beauty here as we're reminded of simpler times and hard-working people. They faithfully kept things running smoothly--and food on the table--for generations. Some were our parents and grandparents, and some of these farms and ranches were the places we called home.
Shot March 26, 2012. Property release on file. When I visited the owner in May 2012, the structure had fallen down on its own, causing no injuries or property damage. I had gone to visit her to give her this and some color versions of the property as momentos. She referred to these bins (originally there were three) as fertilizer holders. It was on this land that she was born seven decades ago.
