Description
Active volcano Mount Rainier (elevation 14,410 feet), in the beautiful state of Washington, USA, partially hidden in clouds above a valley filled with steep cliffs and evergreens in Mount Rainier National Park. In this true black-and-white photograph shot in late August 2012, white glaciers on the mountain can be seen, along with the golf course of the 1916 Paradise Inn at the right center of the frame.

Calvin Boyer, thank you very much for the homepage feature in A Tree or Trees in Black and White!

In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.

Thank you, John. Though The Mountain was not out, as they say, at least I was able to capture a portion of it and get a true black-and-white.
