Description
This plant in the Houston, Texas, area was labeled a gloxinia perennial and bloomed in late September in the tropical Houston area. A second tag found recently says it is a Munstead Red Stonecrop, or sedum telephium, which blooms in the summer and fall and should bloom again each year.
It thrives on a covered patio in partial shade, sporting clusters of dainty puff-balls, remarkably intricate. This macro shot, outdoors in daytime, shows the details of the tiny flowers, set against a background of foliage in bokeh. The first year it had white blossoms. In 2022 it has rust-colored blossoms in the summertime. I've never had a plant change colors like this one does!
