Description
FEATURED ON THE HOMEPAGE OF FINE ART AMERICA.
This plant was labeled a gloxinia perennial and bloomed in late September in the tropical Houston, Texas, area of the USA. I have since located a second tag, telling me it is a Munstead Red Stonecrop, or sedum telephium. It blooms in the summer and fall and should bloom again each year. It thrives on a covered patio in partial shade.
These flowers are like clusters of dainty puff-balls, remarkably intricate. This macro shot, outdoors in daytime, shows the details of the pale pink flowers with a touch of yellow, set against a background of dark green foliage.
Canon PowerShot G7X Mark II
Shot outdoors with available light and cropped to the equivalent of 8x10.
Also available in vivid black-and-white.
