Description
A pretty and very natural-looking roadside field featuring one Entire-leaf Indian Paintbrush, also known as Texas Paintbrush, or Castilleja indivisa. The brown stem behind the flower is new growth with tiny Indian Paintbrush buds.
Another Indian Paintbrush image can be found in this album. It is centered on a more blurred field and does not show the buds. It does, however, focus more on the details of the flower. If you are looking for a wall grouping, you may also want to consider some of my bluebonnet or Texas wildflower images that include Indian paintbrush. Wildflower season came a bit early (late March) in 2012. That's when most of my images were taken. I plan to add more in the spring of 2014.

What a lovely thing to say, Felicia. Whenever I see a Texas wildflower in person, I'll remember your kind words. They do indeed bring the sun into a person's heart.
