Pink clouds mixed with soft gray fill the seemingly endless sky over Yakutat Bay, Alaska, at dusk. Layers of Wrangell mountains lie on the horizon line, in shades of dark blue. (No snow or glaciers in this image.) In the foreground, the deep-blue waters of Yakutat Bay. A simple, uncluttered scene filled with serenity and peace. In the morning we would find ourselves in Glacier Bay.
