Description
Sometimes I like to create something outside the box. So I came up with an abstract shot in Houston, Texas, in sumptuous show-stopping shades of red and coral, with a red fringed starburst on yellow. They represent the interior flowerhead, stamen, and pistils of a red hibiscus. Available in large sizes.
No enhancements other than sharpening. Cropped to the equivalent of a 16x9 horizontal, although larger sizes and greeting cards would also be available. If you are looking for simplicity, yet need a strong, unique color statement for a wall of your home or office, this might be ideal.
Hibiscus are in the mallow family, Malvaceae, sometimes called rose mallow. A large vivid flower often made into tea or worn in the hair, and the symbol of many nations, hibiscus bloom daily in spring and summer in tropical or subtropical areas around the world. This red hibiscus plant thrives in Texas. Please see my Botanicals and Tropicals Galleries for a variety of hibiscus image to suit your needs.
Nikon D7100,Nikon D7100, Nikon 105mm/f2.8 Micro Lens, Hoya circular polarizer, and ND filter, shot outdoors in early morning light.

Contemporary color statement that could inspire an entire room, or simply be that pop of color you need for your home or office.
