Description
Shine Tidelands State Park in Jefferson County, Washington is one of the Washington State Parks. It consists of 13 acres of tidelands with 5,000 feet (1,500 m) of saltwater shoreline on Bywater Bay 7 miles (11 km) south of Port Ludlow. At high tide, there is very little beach above water. Available activities include fishing, clamming, crabbing, beachcombing, birdwatching, windsurfing, and wildlife viewing. Shot from the highway overlooking Bywater Bay, while traveling from Port Townsend to Tacoma.
This is a monochrome—primarily blue—with the Cascade Range in the distance, punctuated with low white clouds. Blue water with a beautiful sheen fills the midsection of this waterscape, with a wood fence rather than standard high way guardrail in the foreground. A lovely tranquil scene, signed by the artist.
