Description
Three palm trees gently blowing in the coastal breeze of Jamaica Beach, Texas, as they reach toward the clear blue sky with gentle clouds. I believe these are Palmetto, or Texas Palm (Texas Sabal), since they reach a height of 45 feet, and at least one of these was quite tall. Also known as Sabal texana or Sabal mexicana.
Outdoor botanical image shot on the diagonal at Jamaica Beach on Galveston Island, Texas, USA, in the spring of 2012. At this point, life in the small communities along the Texas Gulf Coast had pretty much returned to normal, having been decimated by Hurricane Ike in 2008. Classic Texas coastal landscape, vertical.

I ordered this image as a greeting card, and was pleasantly surprised with the result--a bright, crisp, summery card. Keeping with the fresh look, I chose the white background, and I plan to order more. Very pretty, with tack-sharp resolution.
