Vertical color photograph of a large new cone-shaped leaf of a young red banana tree, filling the frame with exquisite colors: burgundy-red edges and stem with a chartreuse leaf body, plus adjacent purplish leaves on which raindrops have fallen. No sky, animals, or people. Simply the jaw-dropping artistry of nature. Works great for prints and products. Add a pop of color and beauty to your life!
Red bananas are a variety of banana with reddish-purple skin. They are smaller and plumper than the common Cavendish banana. When ripe, raw red bananas have a flesh that is cream to light pink in color. Origin: West Indies and Central America. Scientific name: Musa acuminata ‘Red Dacca’. Cultivar group: AAA group (Cavendish group). Cavendish is the type of banana one usually finds in grocery stores. Red bananas are especially prized for use in baking, and tend to be smaller and sweeter than Cavendish.
Photographed in my Texas garden with a vertical, or portrait, orientation. Realistic and pristine-clean, with no augmentation or digital effects.
