Description
NOTE: PROPERTY RELEASE ON FILE
Modern sepia-toned photo of old feed dispensers (hoppers) and storage buildings on a vintage farm near Shelby, Texas, USA. Captured in the spring of 2012, the image provides a visual study in geometry: The metal buildings have weathered over the years, yielding lots of texture and rusty patterns, plus a variety of shapes and sizes, lines and angles. Shot with permission. Property release on file.

Nikon D80 with Nikkor 50mm/1.8 lens, circular polarizer, ND filter. Color version is also available in this gallery. Shot in color, digitally converted to black-and-white, and given a tint and some noise to give the image an aged look.
Love how this image printed as a greeting card (I chose a white background)! Add your own words when you order, and FAA will print them for you on the inside. Ordering greeting cards also provides a cost-effective alternative to wall art, for FAA images fit a 5x7 frame.
Featured on the homepages of Today's Best Art and Women Photographers, December 2013. Featured by Seen But Not Noticed and Premium FAA Artists, May 2014. Featured in Weekly Fun For All Mediums, June 2014. My thanks!

I am grateful to you, Terry Cobb, for seeing the beauty in "Visual Geometry - Old Texas Farm in Sepia." It astounds me to find such beauty among ordinary things, and among the most humble people. The owner's father built this, which alone makes it quite special.

Melissa, it really meant a lot that you took the time to fully appreciate what I love about this image, and articulated it so well. Thank you for your L/F too.
