Cindy, thank you for featuring my "Abandoned House" in Vintage America. It made this newcomer feel welcomed.

Artist's Description

A boarded-up abandoned house sits in a drought-stricken Texas field between Wharton and Port Lavaca. Set against a bright blue sky with scattered white clouds.

The telephone pole on the horizon says that the house was not far from civilization, and perhaps some needed help (a job perhaps?). So I chose not to clone it out. Should you wish for me to remove the pole, please send me an email.

About Connie Fox

Connie Fox

This true aesthetic loves beautiful things, from architecture to the intricate details of flowers and plants. A native Californian who lived in Arizona before settling in Texas, I love nature, topography, and exploring small towns, looking for old buildings, unique objects, and rust. I enjoy making scenes look interesting and natural, as I saw them, and worthy of a place in your home, your office, your life. For 15 years I worked as a dental hygienist. Then I spent 25 years as an award-winning writer, graphic designer, and editorial consultant--skills I still use in this venue and in helping others with special projects. This unique background, requiring discernment and perfection, helps ensure the quality of my work. I hope you will...
