For a special holiday dinner, I often make Buttermilk Pecan Pie, decorated with a starburst of Texas pecan halves. Basically a custard pie, buttermilk pecan pie is not as sweet as traditional pecan pie. Not exactly diet fare, but if you ever get a chance to try it, you will be hooked! It is simply delicious. Photographed indoors, in natural light, on a dark oak table. Not limited to the holidays. It makes great comfort food too.

A native Californian who lived in Arizona before settling in Texas, I love nature, topography, and exploring small towns, looking for old buildings, unique objects, and rust. Whoa, that looks so delicious. Thanks for waiting and taking the photo.
Connie Fox replied:
Thanks, Dan. Wow! It's great to know that my pie made it all the way to Hawaii, my favorite place in the world. As for waiting, I suppose every time we have to wait, we could think of it as a photo-op, and this certainly was. Glad you like it.
