Black-and-white sunset reflection at Laguna Beach, California, USA. Shot late in the day, when beach-goers, unidentifiable and in silhouette in this photo, seem reluctant to head home. Designed to be used as a card or wall print, with the inscription, You made my day! (As a notecard, a reference to the recipient; as wall art, perhaps a reference to the Creator.) Image is also available without text, or copy. Typeface: Bickham MM by Adobe.

As a set of greeting cards, I ordered this image and found it to be ideal for all sorts of occasions--especially for anyone who loves California or the beach. Originally developed in response to a black-and-white sunset contest. I chose the black background, which works great. The white background would probably work equally well.

This true aesthetic loves beautiful things, from architecture to the intricate details of flowers and plants. A native Californian who lived in Arizona before settling in Texas, I love nature, topography, and exploring small towns, looking for old buildings, unique objects, and rust. I enjoy making scenes look interesting and natural, as I saw them, and worthy of a place in your home, your office, your life. For 15 years I worked as a dental hygienist. Then I spent 25 years as an award-winning writer, graphic designer, and editorial consultant--skills I still use in this venue and in helping others with special projects. This unique background, requiring discernment and perfection, helps ensure the quality of my work. I hope you will...

Thank you, Dan, for featuring this image in Premium FAA Artists. In the United States we celebrate April Fools Day on April 1, so we've been busy playing little tricks and jokes on each other. It was refreshing to see these nice words come back to me today, and from afar. You made my day!

Thank you, Mary. Actually it was a contest for black-and-white sunset images that challenged me to take the plunge. I felt it worked--much to my surprise. Don't sunsets have to be colorful? Well, not necessarily, I discovered!
