The Legislative Building in Olympia, Washington, built in the American Neoclassical style of architecture. Olympia is the home of the government of the state of Washington, and this is one of many buildings that comprise what is known as the Capitol Campus, a U.S. Historic District. Construction on the Legislative Building was completed in 1928, and it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1979. If you plan to visit the Seattle area, please consider visiting this beautiful historic landmark.
As part of the Washington State Capitol Historic District, the Legislative Building shares its Olympia location with other campus buildings, including a large domed building (also called the Legislative Building by my source) that was undergoing repairs at the time of my visit. The design of the Capitol Campus is a grand example of the City Beautiful style of the Progressive era of the early 20th Century. (Wikipedia)

This true aesthetic loves beautiful things, from architecture to the intricate details of flowers and plants. A native Californian who lived in Arizona before settling in Texas, I love nature, topography, and exploring small towns, looking for old buildings, unique objects, and rust. I enjoy making scenes look interesting and natural, as I saw them, and worthy of a place in your home, your office, your life. For 15 years I worked as a dental hygienist. Then I spent 25 years as an award-winning writer, graphic designer, and editorial consultant--skills I still use in this venue and in helping others with special projects. This unique background, requiring discernment and perfection, helps ensure the quality of my work. I hope you will...
