FEATURED ON THE HOMEPAGE OF FINE ART AMERICA
Vertical black-and-white 8x10 photograph showing gnarly old tree limbs framing the front entrance to Trinity Church, Weimar, Texas, USA, on Easter Sunday 2022. This charming clapboard building, constructed in 1888, is posted with permission. Small handmade wood crosses with Easter messages flank the landscaped sidewalk to the covered porch.

History of Trinity Church (from a church publication):
The Rev. C. Geiger organized this congregation on June 2, 1886, with a membership of six families. The church serves two communities, Content and New Bielau, located within one mile of each other. In 1888, the members constructed the church building, where we worship today, on a three-acre tract of land. A cemetery adjoins the frame structure. In 1896, a bell named “Concordia” was placed in the steeple. A balcony and Sunday school rooms were added to the building in 1914.

Also available in color and BW sepia. You will find more images of Trinity and other historic Texas churches in my portfolio. I hope you enjoy visiting them.

In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.
