Gorgeous full-frame convoluted macro photo of a single double-ruffled apricot-colored hibiscus blossom and green leaf in the garden after the rain. Image also conveys the impression of morning dewdrops. Fresh and lovely, and cropped to the equivalent of a 5x7 with larger sizes available.
Hibiscus is in the mallow family, Malvaceae, sometimes called rose mallow. A large vivid flower often made into tea or worn in the hair, and the symbol of many nations, hibiscus bloom daily in spring and summer in tropical or subtropical areas around the world. This double-ruffled apricot hibiscus plant bloomed the day after Thanksgiving 2015. The potted plant thrives outdoors in the state of Texas, where the climate is subtropical. More images of this flower can be found in my Flowers and Plants Gallery.

Then I spent 25 years as an award-winning writer, graphic designer, and editorial consultant--skills I still use in this venue and in helping others with special projects. This unique background, requiring discernment and perfection, helps ensure the quality of my work. I hope you will...
