ONE OF MY SOLD IMAGES
Arches and columns are featured in this beautiful evening photograph of The Woodlands Waterway bridge in early January 2008, just as the lights came on and one week after Christmas. Magical Water taxis carry tourists through these tunnels, taking them on a full tour of the area or transporting them to hotels along the way. The Woodlands is a master-planned community north of Houston, Texas, USA.

This true aesthetic loves beautiful things, from architecture to the intricate details of flowers and plants. A native Californian who lived in Arizona before settling in Texas, I love nature, topography, and exploring small towns, looking for old buildings, unique objects, and rust. I enjoy making scenes look interesting and natural, as I saw them, and worthy of a place in your home, your office, your life. For 15 years I worked as a dental hygienist. Then I spent 25 years as an award-winning writer, graphic designer, and editorial consultant--skills I still use in this venue and in helping others with special projects. This unique background, requiring discernment and perfection, helps ensure the quality of my work. I hope you will...

Special thanks to today's buyer from Glencoe, Illinois, of a 30" x 24" print of one of my personal favorites: "Winter Evening Lights on the Woodlands Waterway." It appears that the same buyer previously purchased this in a smaller version, along with another image of the area, so this feels like a nice stamp of approval. I hope they enjoy all three pieces for many years to come.

Thanks so much, Jerry, for your kind and generous comment. Winters in the Houston area are much like California, except some years we don't even get to wear a coat (not even once!) and other years it snows! This was indeed a magical evening--right after Christmas.

Magnificent capture Connie. The soft clouds really make the color pop. Love it. l/v/f Jerry

Thank you, Eva, for featuring this Woodlands Waterway image on the homepage of Places You Visited. The Woodlands is a master-planned community, and filled with great shopping, restaurants, activities, and homes in nearly every price range. I just love to go there. This visit was particularly special, for we had taken my infant granddaughter to have her first glimpse of the Christmas lights along the Waterway. As you can see, it was really a special scene. So beautiful!
