Classic rural scene of a Texas road and farmland, shot along a two-lane highway in the region of the state known as Prairies and Lakes, located roughly between the Texas Gulf Coast and the Hill Country. In this pretty scene, one can see bluebonnets, official flower of the great state of Texas, lots of green grass and pasture land, and several brightly colored goldenball leadtrees.
Photographed March 26, 2012, during wildflower season and the Texas drought. The drought explains the pile of brush, a common sight as Texans cleared dead trees and foliage. A crisp, clear, natural outdoor scene, typical of Texas farms and ranches. (In Texas, ranches usually have cattle and farms do not.)
