Artist's Description
Postcard image of the Austin, Texas (USA) skyline, reflected in the Colorado River and featuring a crystal-clear blue sky on a pristine October day in 2011. Austin is the capital of the great state of Texas, home of The University of Texas (Longhorns), and dubbed "Silicon Hills" for the presence of so many high-tech corporations. Among them: Dell Inc., founded by former UT student Michael Dell.
This is one of two images of the Austin skyline as seen from the Colorado River. This one includes water reflections of the skyline, as well as a railroad bridge.

About Connie Fox
This true aesthetic loves beautiful things, from architecture to the intricate details of flowers and plants. A native Californian who lived in Arizona before settling in Texas, I love nature, topography, and exploring small towns, looking for old buildings, unique objects, and rust. I enjoy making scenes look interesting and natural, as I saw them, and worthy of a place in your home, your office, your life. For 15 years I worked as a dental hygienist. Then I spent 25 years as an award-winning writer, graphic designer, and editorial consultant--skills I still use in this venue and in helping others with special projects. This unique background, requiring discernment and perfection, helps ensure the quality of my work. I hope you will...

Thank you, Judy! I'm sure this fine city has been filling in the blank areas ever since this was shot in 2008, but I tend to like the way it showcases certain buildings.

My sincere but belated thanks go to Sarah Jordan, administrator of the Architecture and Construction Group, who featured this image on their home-page in mid-January. Somehow I missed that. Thanks so much!
