Artist's Description
A field of yellow wildflowers near Navasota, Texas, brings sunshine to a cloudy, dreary day. Interesting patterns in the gray clouds above the field of flowers, in which trees hinting of spring punctuate the landscape. The flowers appear to be Damianita (Chrysactinia mexicana), a perennial native to Texas. In fact, this might be an entirely native field (not sown).

About Connie Fox
This true aesthetic loves beautiful things, from architecture to the intricate details of flowers and plants. A native Californian who lived in Arizona before settling in Texas, I love nature, topography, and exploring small towns, looking for old buildings, unique objects, and rust. I enjoy making scenes look interesting and natural, as I saw them, and worthy of a place in your home, your office, your life. For 15 years I worked as a dental hygienist. Then I spent 25 years as an award-winning writer, graphic designer, and editorial consultant--skills I still use in this venue and in helping others with special projects. This unique background, requiring discernment and perfection, helps ensure the quality of my work. I hope you will...

Love the color contrast of the grey and yellow. There is an oh so slight hint of the sun's rays coming through the clouds. Terrific capture Connie. f/v
