Several iconic buildings have long lent a distinctive look to the beautiful skyline of Houston, Texas. Shown here: Bank of America Plaza, which now includes the former Pennzoil Building, in black, and the former First Interstate Bank Building with its unique pointed setbacks. Also seen here is the tall aqua Wells Fargo Bank Building, all set against a perfect backdrop of white cumulo-nimbus clouds and blue sky.
Photographed in 2008 from I-45, west of downtown. In this album you will find a similar image that includes the Ferris wheel, plus a number of other views of the beautiful Houston skyline.

This true aesthetic loves beautiful things, from architecture to the intricate details of flowers and plants. A native Californian who lived in Arizona before settling in Texas, I love nature, topography, and exploring small towns, looking for old buildings, unique objects, and rust. I enjoy making scenes look interesting and natural, as I saw them, and worthy of a place in your home, your office, your life. For 15 years I worked as a dental hygienist. Then I spent 25 years as an award-winning writer, graphic designer, and editorial consultant--skills I still use in this venue and in helping others with special projects. This unique background, requiring discernment and perfection, helps ensure the quality of my work. I hope you will...

This is awesome! Fave.
Connie Fox replied:
Thank you, Lenore. It's an awesome city too! The prettiest skyline in America I hear, though I'm sure I'll hear from someone who'll say that about their own city! ;-) A nice blend of old and new in Houston, though not much pre-dates 1900.

Thank you, Mary. What an especially nice comment!

Love it. Never thought I would say "nice texture" in a skyline shot, but that's exactly what I'm getting here.
