Description
This Canadian seascape, or waterscape, features cobalt blue waters (their actual color), dappled with white foam from the wake of a ferry. The wake becomes aqua blue toward the lower right. Low white clouds on a soft blue sky hover near the horizon.
Shot while traveling between Port Angeles, Washington, and Victoria, B.C., Canada, having crossed into Canada. The body of water is the Strait of Juan de Fuca, the channel that runs between the United States and Canada, from the Pacific Ocean eastward.

Nikon D80, Nikkor 50mm/f1.8 lens, ND filter, aperture priority, hand-held, with minimal cleanup and enhancements. Part of a series of beautiful water shots taken that day. The only enhancements were simply to match the deep blue tones so the images could be used together, should a buyer wish to do so.
FEATURED on the homepages of these groups: Just Perfect, The Outdoor Photographer, and Red Maple Gallery, July 2020. My thanks!
