ONE OF MY SOLD IMAGES
A portion of the Historic District in the charming 19th century town of Port Townsend, Washington, located in Jefferson County, at the northeast tip of the Olympic Peninsula on the north shore of Washington. Photographed near the Bell Tower. The red brick building at the far left is known as the Hastings Building, which bears the embossed name N.D. Hill near the roofline at the angled corner seen here. You will find other images of the Hastings Building in my Port Townsend collection.
The population of Port Townsend is approximately nine thousand. Its area is about nine square miles, some of which is water. According to Wikipedia: In addition to its natural scenery at the northeast tip of the Olympic Peninsula, Port Townsend is known for the many Victorian buildings remaining from its late 19th-century heyday, numerous annual cultural events, and as a maritime center for independent boat-builders and related industries and crafts.
