Rustic fenceposts visually frame a small red-roofed building on the horizon line of a rural Texas field in the greater Houston, Texas, area. A beautiful landscape with a stunning blue sky, this tranquil scene captures—in 8x10 vertical orientation—the common look of Texas farms and ranches. Perhaps a Texas rancher will explain to me the difference. I was told that Texas ranches usually have cattle, and farms do not. Either way, a red roof matters.

This true aesthetic loves beautiful things, from architecture to the intricate details of flowers and plants. A native Californian who lived in Arizona before settling in Texas, I love nature, topography, and exploring small towns, looking for old buildings, unique objects, and rust. I enjoy making scenes look interesting and natural, as I saw them, and worthy of a place in your home, your office, your life. For 15 years I worked as a dental hygienist. Thank you, Eric! To put it in perspective, Houston is closer to Chicago than to El Paso. It takes a day and a half to drive to another state. Thanks for appreciating Texas.
