Artist's Description
Native Texas limestone forms numerous arches at the entrance to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, Austin, Texas (USA), set against a clear-blue sky. Spacious, casual, and rather rustic, the Wildflower Center is the research unit of The University of Texas at Austin, nationally recognized for applied research and demonstration projects that show us new ways to protect our natural environment.
The Wildflower Center, designed to incorporate the look of Spanish missions, is also where one of my family members was married. Weddings are among the many events hosted here throughout the year.

Then I spent 25 years as an award-winning writer, graphic designer, and editorial consultant--skills I still use in this venue and in helping others with special projects. This unique background, requiring discernment and perfection, helps ensure the quality of my work. I hope you will...

Thank you, Terry, for featuring this image in Seen But Not Noticed. Located near the entrance to the Wildflower Center, this series of arches with cascading vines caught my eye. It wasn't until we left that I could take the time to appreciate the beauty of it!
