Description
Textured digital arts image of the Chapel of the Holy Cross in Sedona, Arizona, built in 1956 atop a 250-foot-high spur of rock. The chapel offers an unimpeded view of the Sedona scenery through a glass wall behind the altar.
Offset frontal view depicting the simple but striking architecture of the exterior, the ruggedness of the red rocks into which it was built, green trees in the lower foreground, and a beautiful cloudless blue sky. Image has carefully enhanced, given a textured effect, and signed by the artist.
Photographed in the summer of 1993 with a Minolta Freedom Escort and Kodak film. Scanned and restored in 2014. For the same image, with Psalm 121:1-2 set against the blue sky, please see this Arizona Gallery.
