Description
One might see this as a night shot, for the tiny hairs around the pistils of this silky hibiscus glisten as if photographed under a canopy of moonlight. So it could be seen as romantic, or not. Silky or natural. In any case, there is an air of mystery about it. Intriguing.
Frontal view of a single hibiscus blossom in the garden with a leafy background, some backlit and most in a lovely bokeh. Special effects lend a unique look. Whether framed or as a sophisticated one-of-a-kind duvet cover, this image might inspire a whole room.
In this exquisite, detailed closeup photograph, suitable for sizes up to and including 60 x 40, pistils and stamen details are seen in sharp focus. Lovely background bokeh in this artistic and beautiful black-and-white sepia macro with tones of blue. Versatile enough for any room, home or office. Tack-sharp details throughout the flower, with the center of the hibiscus as the focal point.
Uncropped and ready to beautify a wall of your home or office. Large sizes are available, as are greeting cards. You will find other hibiscus images in my Botanicals Gallery, including some of this flower.
Hibiscus are in the mallow family, Malvaceae, sometimes called rose mallow. A large vivid flower often made into tea or worn in the hair, and the symbol of many nations, hibiscus bloom daily in spring and summer in tropical or subtropical areas around the world. This red hibiscus plant thrives in Texas.
Nikon D7100,Nikon D7100, Nikon 105mm/f2.8 Micro Lens, Hoya circular polarizer, and ND filter, shot outdoors in early morning light. Special effects were used to add to the uniqueness of this beautiful fine art photograph, while keeping its natural look.
