Description
Sepia closeup of the famous Victorian homes at Alamo Square, San Francisco, California. This photo, to which noise and a copper-brown tint have been added for a more aged appearance, differs from the classic frontal view: It was shot at an angle that includes an adjacent Victorian home on the side street. For that reason, the downtown area does not show. (It has not been cloned out; simply the angle I chose allowed for a simpler composition and unique point of view.)
The absence of the downtown buildings helps depict how these homes might have looked around the turn of the century.
