Description
Black-and-white sepia image featuring four arched windows on the back of the historic Hotel Galvez in Galveston, Texas, as they may have looked when the hotel was built in 1911. The architecture of the hotel combines Mission Revival and Spanish Revival styles.
The building was named the Galvez in honor of Bernardo de Galvez y Madrid, Count of Galvez, for whom the city on the Texas Gulf Coast was named. Hotel Galvez is a member of Historic Hotels of America, the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
