Vertical Glacier Bay black-and-white landscape and seascape that shows a portion of the huge landmark rock formation Gloomy Knob in Glacier Bay, Alaska, USA.
This natural abstract, with no people, features the tranquil beauty of Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve. The park and preserve include more than 3.2 million acres of forest, inlet and shore, mountain peaks rising over 15,000 feet, and amazing glaciers. Each is many miles in length, and with its own distinctive face and history. Mountain goats are often seen at Gloomy Knob, and when I researched it I saw a bear warning for campers.
"Climb Every Mountain" was the first song the King of Pop ever sang in public. Both he and his legacy, plus this solid rock in Glacier Bay National Park, Glacier Bay, Alaska, continue to inspire me. The title came to me when I posted this image in 2019.
