Gloomy Knob in Glacier Bay - Sepia
Landscape, nature, and Glacier Bay seascapes photograph by Connie Fox
Sepia landscape photograph of Gloomy Knob, a prominent rock formation in Glacier Bay, located in Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska, USA, an American national park. Beautiful clear sky, snow- and glacier-covered peaks in the background, and the waters of Glacier Bay in the foreground. The rocks make a fascinating study and appear to be covered in moss. No people or wildlife, but mountainous terrain, texture, and snow-capped peaks.
Captured in early September 2015 with a Nikon D7100. In this gallery, you will also find this image in color and black-and-white versions, as well as other versions of Gloomy Knob—not a small formation. The glaciers on this side of Glacier Bay are receding, while on the opposite side they are advancing. This does not make the case for global warming, since two glaciers right next to each other can be doing opposite things—one advancing and one receding. It depends on what side of the bay they are on. As seemed clear to most passengers, someone more powerful than humans is still in charge.
