FEATURED ON THE HOMEPAGE OF FINE ART AMERICA
Vintage Seventies picture of a handsome gentleman, my father, standing alongside his new Airstream trailer and Cadillac. Captured by me in late summer or fall of 1971 while on a trip to Boulder, Colorado, so my father could meet his first grandchild. Dad, featured in this image, gave me this slide picture as a print in 1980. I scanned and painstakingly restored it in Photoshop in 2017 as a vintage black-and-white, then improved upon those restorations in 2022. Slight cropping, but every effort has been taken to preserve the integrity of the original image. Posted with permission; model release on file.
About the vehicles shown here: Airstream is the original inventor of the recreational vehicle (RV) and is a brand well known around the world. Airstream has roots all the way back to the 1920s when company founder Wally Byan began constructing trailers out of Masonite in the backyard of his Los Angeles home.
This Cadillac might be a 1971 Cadillac Sedan de Ville, which hit the showroom floors in 1970.
