Description
Front perspective photo of the vintage Renaissance Revival-style Ant Street Inn, an historic boutique bed-and-breakfast in downtown Brenham, Texas. Also known as the Schmid Bros. Building, the Ant Street Inn was originally a mercantile business built by Josef Schmid, who later was joined in the business by his two brothers.
The official medallion near the entrance honors this inn, with its restaurant, accommodations, and special-events center, as a Registered Texas Historic Landmark. You will soon find a close-up shot of the medallion, including its history, in my Vintage Gallery.
