Description
A scenic mostly-blue image showcasing the snow-covered glacial peaks behind what I think is Lake Bennett, a large lake on the Chilkoot Trail in both Yukon Territory and British Columbia, Canada. A classic pristine landscape scene with a lovely lake, mountains, glacial peaks, and a gorgeous sky with low clouds. The foreground helps frame the image with rolling shore and native greenery.
Bennett, British Columbia, at an elevation of 2,785 feet, is where thirty thousand stampeders spent the winter of 1898-1899, building makeshift rafts and boats during the Klondike Gold Rush to take them across Lake Bennett and down the Yukon River to the goldfields.

Connie, your image makes me want to take a trip north to see these mountains for myself. Beautiful and subtle layers are simply gorgeous.
Connie Fox replied:
Thank you, Roger. It was a pleasure to work on this image and appreciate all these lovely layers. Check out Bennett scenic journey via the narrow-gauge White Pass and Yukon Route Railroad. It's a 120-mile round trip from Skagway and takes about eight hours. This was an option on our Princess cruise-tour of Alaska, and I definitely recommend it.
