Description
Hundreds of fire-damaged pine trees line the main road through Bastrop, Texas, where the Bastrop fires of 2011 jumped a divided highway. These fires occurred in the midst of the Texas (USA) drought, destroying two thousand homes, many businesses, and an untold number of trees.
Bastrop was a gorgeous area about 20 miles southeast of Austin, the capitol of the great state of Texas. Tragically these fires also caused several deaths. Needless to say, the destruction went on for miles and miles. It seemed as if it would never end.
