Description
Digital arts effects have been applied to an original photograph by the artist of two flamingo-pink painted gas pumps in a small rural Texas town. One pump shown here can be used, but the other is missing a key component, the nozzle and hose. Some might consider it junk, but for now it is serving as a placeholder at a rural gas station. Most likely these gas pumps were in their prime in the Sixties, approximately 50 years ago.
My thanks to the owner of this gas station in Eagle Lake, Texas, who gave me permission to freely photograph his place of business. Eagle Lake is located about 60 miles southwest of Houston.

Long before I was born, of course! Seriously, the pink is nice--very retro. Love the pump without the handle and hose. I know you must have a wall or scrapbook that needs this image, Terry.

As a teenager, I worked at a Texaco gas station back in the 60’s and we had pumps just like this (except for the pink color)! :-)
